Supporting your local bands is important. Some of the best music is coming from your local bands. that band that has been working hard to give you great music just for the satisfaction of seeing you dance, sing along and hopefully that extra support.
Newer to the Darkwave/Post-Punk/Goth community in So Cal I am seeing something of a trend. They support each other, don’t really compete, and want the whole community to grow. If it helps me, it helps you, it helps all of us. Not just this genre fans, because there is a huge cross over people show up.
Though, as a smaller or growing band what do you think helps you most? With live venues changing, digital music and promoting online.
I would guess filling Venues and merch sales would be top. Money to pay for a tour, gas, hotel, new piece of equipment..
Follows and Listens Online with reposts to get your music out there? What site seems to work better then the others?
